Halloween is a time of temptation for many of us. A time to crossdress and not have people think we have serious personal issues. A time to crossdress when people see it as fun rather than something strange. A time to crossdress when people have no idea of our real very strong desires for it.
If you are someone who has been fighting crossdressing in your life, stay strong this Halloween. Resist the temptations. What might seem harmless to your friends or family is not harmless for us. For other people it’s dressing up as something different just for fun, but for us it’s trying to get sexual pleasure and a thrill out of it, or trying to indulge in the false identity we’ve created. Don’t rationalize. Don’t deceive yourself. Fight the addiction. Fight the temptation. Don’t do something you’d regret.
Ask God to give you the strength to make it through this Halloween season, whether your temptation is to dress up, or to read stories about dressing up, or to fantasize about dressing up. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. If you don’t want to give in, then don’t give in. Ask God to give you strength and courage to fight the temptations. Keep in touch with other brothers who are going through the same thing this season. Email me for prayer and support whenever you need to. We can all make it through this together.
