Last year during the season of Lent I wrote – Put the “cross” into “crossdressing.” This year, I have a shorter message. And this is it.
For those of you on the fence, trying to decide whether or not you believe crossdressing is wrong, for those of you on the fence, trying to decide whether to give up crossdressing or not, here is my suggestion. Why not try giving up crossdressing for Lent?
What’s the worst that can happen? Even if you decide to go back to crossdressing after Lent, you will only have missed out on some fleeting pleasures. But what is the possible gain? The possible gain is huge! You might find out you love life a lot better without crossdressing. You might find your mind being unclouded by the pink fog, and finally able to see crossdressing for the stupid sinful thing it is. You might find that getting crossdressing out of your life was a lot easier than you thought once you chose to stop giving in to the behavior. You might drastically improve your marriage. You might get lots more time to do productive good things. You might find your crossdressing desires lessening. You might find that you feel much better about yourself after not giving in for so long. You might find yourself loving God more, and growing closer in your relationship with him during Lent when you weren’t crossdressing. You might find that you want to keep crossdressing out of your life for good.
You also might find that stopping crossdressing is really hard just like you thought it would be, but perhaps, even if it is really hard for you, you will still find some of the things I’ve written about in the above paragraph. Why not give it a try? If you are in control of your life, and you claim crossdressing doesn’t control you, then give this a try! And let me know how it goes for you. God bless all of you who try this, and may he give you strength and joy through it!
